CFPA is a nonprofit conserving the natural resources, trails and lands of CT through education, advocacy and stewardship. CFPA was instrumental in acquiring over 100 state parks and forests for public use and enjoyment. CFPA maintains the 800-mile Blue-Blazed Hiking /Trail system and provides hands-on learning programs for youth, families and adults. CFPA offers professional development for teachers, youth leaders, naturalists and other educators through the Project Learning Tree program.

Kidcity Children's Museum celebrates a child's natural curiosity by offering a downtown hands-on playspace where children ages 1 through 8 and parents learn through play. With 3 floors of exhibits, including the new science-themed area, the Space Age Roadtrip, Kidcity offers a safe and enriching educational environment which fosters the development of problem-solving skills and creativity.
