The NAUTILUS is the first nuclear-powered submarine and is the Navy's official submarine museum. The submarine tour is a recorded narration that last approx. 20-30 minutes, and offers automatic translations in English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. The museum covers submarine history from the first submarine The Turtle to present day submarines. There is bus and R/V parking, and a picnic area that has seating for up to 50.
Please Note: The submarine and museum are closed mid-April and the beginning of November for two weeks for bi-annual maintenance and closed on Tuesdays. |

Founded to preserve the unique heritage of an endangered species -- the trolley car -- it now boasts a collection of nearly 100 vintage vehicles as well as artifacts and documents from the trolley era.
The Shore Line Trolley Museum operates the Branford Electric Railway, a National Historic Site. The railway is the oldest continuously operating suburban trolley line in the United States.
