The Connecticut Center for Science Inquiry Teaching and Learning (CT Inquiry Center) is a partnership facilitated by the CT Academy and includes Quinnipiac University and University of Connecticut science and science education faculty consultants, Groton, Hamden, Marlborough, New Haven, Norwich and Wallingford Public Schools . The CT Inquiry Center provides sustained, intense professional development activities to facilitate the understanding and use of the inquiry approach to teaching and learning. The approach is modeled after the Institute for Inquiry at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, California .

The CT Inquiry Center provides teachers with a firm understanding of inquiry teaching practices through an Inquiry Institute . Once teachers have this understanding, the center provides support through grade-level study groups that focus on embedding inquiry in the classroom.

Federal funding for the Center was awarded by the CT State Department of Higher Education. For more information, please contact Terri Clark at 860/346-1177 or tclark@ctacad.org.
